Trust in HIM at all times; pour out your heart before HIM: GOD is a refuge for us. Selah Psalms 62:8
As for GOD, HIS way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried; HE is a buckler to all those that trust in HIM. Psalm 18: 30
O FATHER, I confess there are times when I am angry over all the things that are happening around us. There are things that we were sure was YOUR voice telling us what to do, and then none of it seems to have worked out. We have called to YOU, but there is silence, and we wonder “why?” There have been horrific accidents with disastrous results; young people dying, that are YOUR children; people that have no work; sickness that cannot be explained; loved ones with cancer that are having to go through pain and treatments that we know nothing of; spouses, parents and children that have died or are dying, leaving those that are left groping in the dark for answers. O LORD, why?
MY child....I know you are struggling with answers to all these questions, but I want to ask you a question. Do you believe the words that are spoken in the Bible? Do you believe it is MY Word? When you discovered that you needed a SAVIOUR because of your sins, did you put your faith and trust in man, or did you put your trust in GOD? When you read those words in John 3: 16— “For GOD so loved the world, that HE gave HIS only begotten SON, that whosoever believeth in HIM should not perish but have everlasting life,” did you believe it, because I said it, and knowing I cannot lie?
O MY dear one, I know you are looking for answers and you aren’t hearing or seeing any, but you have to trust ME. When I said, “MY way is perfect”, it is; even when you don’t understand it. You have to trust ME now, the same as you did when you trusted ME for your salvation. Pour out your deepest thoughts and troubles to ME, for I am listening even when you think I am silent because I haven’t answered your prayers. Do you remember when Lazarus was sick, and his sisters sent a message to JESUS saying, “LORD, behold, he whom YOU love is sick?” Did they say, “Heal him; don’t let him die?” No, they didn’t ask that at all! They just laid out the problem. So when your heart is breaking over a situation, just bring it to me and say, “LORD, you know about my spouse, our children, this sickness, this situation, this death, etc.” Then, let ME take care of it MY way. Trust ME in everything, for if you don’t, you are going to become very discouraged and depressed. You will lose your hope, and will never be able to rest with peace, knowing I am in control of all things.
My prayer: O my LORD, please fill me with that hope and peace I need so much, and let me trust YOU this day.
